Education Is The First Thing That Can Help Us Improve Our...

The acquisition of knowledge is either specifically aimed at imparting a certain person or a general audience. According to (Pritchard, 2010), knowledge refers to information concerning something, which an individual acquires either through experience or undergoing a certain form of process meant to impart information. We have to identify the presence of the propositional knowledge which lay emphasis on things like the facts and figures that we know for example, I can speak English and water is made up to the chemical structure H2O. And the ability knowledge which is just the know-how, an example of this is I know how to drive a motor bike, but I still need to know the rules and laws of driving (Pritchard, 2010). Education is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think about knowledge. The role of education is to help us improve our knowledge and skills. I believe that we can pick up knowledge from parents, mentors, school teachers and life experiences, for example, being a mother teaches one to be more thoughtful and empathetic towards others. Knowledge is also imparted to us through various means like, studying the theories of human behaviours I have gained a better understanding of not just my behaviour but also the behaviour of others. Based on the teachings I have received in school so far, I now know more about anti-oppressive practices, equality and the protected characteristics of individuals.
